parking in Cuenca?

My wife and I are planning our exploratory trip to Ecuador late September thru early October, bought our plane tickets. We will start in Quito for 5 nights and then plan on renting a car to explore the rest. We are going to take 3 days / 2 nights to get to Cuenca where we've reserved an Airbnb for another 5 nights. Question: is parking in Cuenca difficult, especially over night? Our Airbnb is right downtown and did not mention parking but I'm going to question them. We'll then drive down to Loja for one or two nights. We'll double back thru Cuenca, cut over to the coast and hit Manta, then to we'd like to hit Otavalo before we leave out of Quito.

We'll arrive in Cuenca on Friday Sept 28th and leave on Wednesday Oct 3rd. We like to plan on meeting any Expats during our stay there.

There are private parking lots in downtown where you can pay for the night. There is one a block away from Parque Calderon. Can't remember their night fee, tho.
Parking on the street might not be the safest/wise thing to do.
