Ciao to everybody. I’m considering to find a small charming place for tent to evaluate the living and to test the water before investing in the real estate market. Any suggestion regarding safe area and the local classified recourses to look for ?
I see participation of knowledgeable established expats in the forum.

Why buy, I rent a nice 3 bedroom in Funza for 250 USD a month.

Only been there once and really have no experience with the area. Funza is located about 30 minutes outside of Bogota depending on traffic. Even there still need the walled in security and guard. Still have to pay attention when using the bank and walking on the streets and I do not walk around after dark. The only place that I do that is in Cartagena but my nephew who used to be a tour guide told me recently that the security situation there was not good with the loss of jobs from the covi-19.
