South African IT Specialist Seeking NZ Opportunities

Hi everyone,


I’m looking for advice regarding my husband, who is a Senior IT Support Specialist from South Africa with over 20 years of enterprise IT experience across retail, manufacturing and distribution.


His experience includes Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows administration, desktop/end-user support, hardware deployment and infrastructure support. He has supported 350+ end users, achieved a 96% first-contact resolution rate, and is Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certified.


We are seriously considering New Zealand and are currently looking for suitable employers who are willing to consider experienced overseas IT candidates and provide the appropriate work visa support.


We would really appreciate advice from anyone who has successfully moved to New Zealand from South Africa, particularly in IT.


Which recruiters, companies or job websites would you recommend? Is it realistic for an experienced IT Support professional to secure an employer-sponsored position while still living in South Africa?


He is open to relocating anywhere in New Zealand for the right opportunity.
