just myself, but I look for a flat/apartment, not a room in a shared house. 2500 CAD will be gross (not net)  by the way. Would that be enough to live decently?

Your biggest expense will be rent. You can find a decent 1 bedroom apartment in Osborne Village for $850 to $995 per month. You can find cheaper in less desireable neighbourhoods such as East and West Norwood and more expensive in a premium neighbourhood such as Crescentwood. You will probably use Winnipeg public transit (mixed reviews) as car ownership can be costly. Excluding rent, living costs in Winnipeg are about 10% lower than Toronto.

Depends on how you shop , but let's say 500-600 CAD .
Mobile , basic calls , internet , text , 40 CAD
