Extra Pulmonary Lung Scar

NirmeshSaini
Hi,

My company is sponsoring work visa for Dubai.
I have a scar in lymph nodes which are visible on a chest X-RAY. This region is considered extra pulmonary as per medical consultants. I never had TB in my life. Can my residency visa be rejected on the basis of these scars ?

Hello Cheryl

Thanks for your quick response.

I have gone through multiple threads about this topic. While it is clear that any kind of lung scar on chest x-ray lead to deportation, it’s not clear if extra pulmonary scars also get the same behaviour. It’s more of a medical technicality and DHA mentions it checks for only pulmonary tuberculosis.

If anyone in the community faced the same issue, it would be a great help.

Thanks

On further medical consultations, scar in my x ray is, in worst case, indicative of old extra pulmonary TB. It doesn’t indicate pulmonary TB.

Any specified policy from DHA on old extra pulmonary spots ?

There is no policy.  It is up to the doctors in the health center what they assess your scar as.
