Balancing act

Admittedly I copied my own text from a different Turkish forum (which you probably know by now).


From what I observe, Türkiye has been pursuing a relatively effective balancing act among multiple global powers. Despite the complexity, it maintains working relations with the US, the EU, Russia, Ukraine, and Gulf states, and may even play a facilitating role in regional dialogue, including with Iran. Türkiye is also expanding its presence in Africa. I hope this multidirectional approach continues.

Turkey has done rather well with its armaments industry. From being a net importer, they have become a major exporter, including the KAAN stealth fighter.

Countries that previously bought from the US have switched to what they see as a safer bet.
