Hi,

If you want to get a residence permit for the 1st time, you have to have a property worth of $200K.

Some areas don't accept foreigners anymore either. So you nee to check this out.

Is it because of the Agenda 2030 you want to move out?  Good plan to get out, that's for sure.

I plan to move next March or April.  There are numerous resident (ikamet) permits you can apply for.  As Inky86 noted, if you intend to apply through property investment, you can get a short term (max 2 years) residency permit via investment in a property that exceeds $200k or you may obtain citizenship by investing in a property exceeding $400k.  There is also a family residence permit type which I’m not familiar with.  Go to the following website, it has lots of info:

Hello, I moved to Turkey nearly 5 years ago and the best thing i did.

I retired but after 3 or so years, I decided to go back to work and I now work at the same real estate agency I purchased my property through. It is a great company and they have provided me a work permit.

For 2 year residency, which you can renew every 2 years - you need to purchase a property over 200,000USD

For citizenship you need to purchase a property owned by a turkish person and over 400,000USD

However, for residency you can purchase lower than 200,000USD and get 6 months residency and renew every 6 months - you have to show money coming into your bank account every month of minimum one and half times the minimum wage.

When I purchased my property the estate agency helped me get a tax number, open a bank account and guided me through the process. It is nothing like the UK - completion of sale can be done within 3 days!

There are many ways to do that from purchasing a property, to purchasing bonds or depositing a currency. Which way are you about to apply?
