Kids In Riyadh

Hi everyone,

I live actually in London and will be moving soon with my children (11 &8) tojoin my husband in Riyadh.

We are very used to moving but everytime Iam all concerned about my children safety and happiness. would they be happy, busy and safe out there? how social life for children of this age if they live in a compound? do all nationalities mix up, get together and be friends like we are so lukcy over here in London (with social life). Iam so confused and feels like a YOYO everyday...one day all excited the other day worried and apprehensive. anyone out there with children this age more or less....how was the move for them????

Can anyone take me out of my misery and help with information...I am just like this :(

Thanks a lot

Welcome to KSA

There will be lots of activities and other children on compound so don't worry

Compounds are safe and secure
Thank you for your nice message...;)
Life in Riyadh for families is fantastic! There are many activities aimed at families, specfically the children. Many malls have built in theme parks for the kids. Outside of the malls there are even whole parks dedicated to families with kids.

Good Luck!:top:
Thank you Vinnie. Do you have children of your own? we will be living in AL HAmra compound and I was just hoping that life in a compound wouldnt be too chlostrophobic after some time...

How about nurseries for babies? I have a 10 months old baby and I hope to start working soon and I wonder if there are good nurseries in Riyadh that have kind professionals who take good care of your baby, as I've never left him for anyone before.
