Work Permit for Dependents

Hi,

My wife, who is on a dependent visa, is looking for work opportunities (non-specified sector, I.e. consulting)

Not sure if the work approval needs to be filed before finalisation of the new job or once she gets an offer.

We intend to apply as a work authorisation for a dependent.

if anyone has any inputs.

One she gets the job, her potential employer can apply for the process of converting dependent visa to work visa.

Thanks so much. My wife has got a job offer and in process for applying for a work permit. does it mean her status as a dependent is automatically cancelled ?
