Hi everyone,

I need your help with something.

My brother has resigned from his previous job. In his 30 days grace he got a job offer from a company that is just setting up. CR is done but lmra account is not yet opened as it's taking some time.

He applied for 30 day more days extension. His old employer called him and said that she would file a overstay case on him. Does he need to worry in this case because he has the offer letter and all the documents in hand?

Let employer file. As long as he can correct his status during the extension, no issue.

Hi!

I have another update on this matter.

The new employer changed his mind and is not willing to provide visa anytime soon. As per them, they will only provide it based on performance. My question is can my brother apply for another extension without old sponsor's permission? If yes, can the old sponsor cancel his grace period extension? This will be his last extension.

Please advise on what to do in this situation as my brother is stuck
