Company Closure & Visa Cancellation

Hi My name is Cee! I'm from the Philippines, although I left when I was really young. I studied and grew up here in Bahrain.  I would like to seek some legal advice with regards to my doubts please.

The company I was working for had a good run operating for more than a decade but since last year, has been experiencing financial difficulties. Ultimately, they decided to close.

I have been under their sponsorship for a 1 year and a half. My salary has been delayed for 3 months, they gave me a 1 week notice before closing, cancelled my visa (I had 5 months left before it's expiration), and is now keeping my outstanding salaries on hold, only wanting to give it after I am sponsored by a new employer. Is this reasonable? From what I know is that I'm entitled to my outstanding salaries the moment my contract is terminated and/or my visa is cancelled.

Sorry for the long read. Hope this forum could be of help! :)

You are entitled to salary irrespective of cancellation.  What they are doing is illegal and against labor law.  You need to approach Ministry of labor and file a case immediately.
Thank you for the quick response! Much appreciated. 👍🏼
