Family Visa for wife and 1 year old on 1 Year RP

Hello Guys,

This is my first post here however I have been reading all the relevant posts for answer. This question is a bit long please bear with me.

So my Indian company has sent me here to our affiliate company for 1 year deputation. Hence I will be given 1 year Resident Permit.
My concern is to call my wife and 1 year old son on the basis of this RP, as I won't be getting any support from my company here. Is there a way I could bring them on any long term visa.?

A resident permit is for 6 months, 1 years or 2 years.  On either of these, you can sponsor a family visa which leads to a resident permit.  Your company must apply for these on your behalf.

Thank you for the prompt response Sir. But from what I can sense from the company, it is unlikely that they would help me sponsor for various reasons being an affiliate of our Indian company. The accommodation and everything is handled by them.

Is there any other way except company's sponsorship?

You can bring them over on visit visas but they can stay for limited time i.e. 1 to 3 months and then have to exit.  These visas can be sponsored (through your company) or unsponsored (evisa portal).

No other way except for you to open your own company and then sponsor visas for them.  Or buy property and do self sponsorship.  Both expensive options.

Lol... Got it.. ThanQ very much. I will go for the Evisaportal option.
1 last thing Our marriage certificate is not attested but my wife does have my name on her passport. Neither the child's birth certificate is attested. Is attestation required?

Not for visit visa.  You WONT be applying for her (you can only sponsor her on permanent family visa through company) - she will have to apply on her own merits as a tourist i.e. show ticket, hotel booking or proof of accommodation and bank statement.  Be aware that a LOT of evisa applications for women coming by themselves from the sub-continent are rejected.  Chances of success are much higher with sponsored visa applications through company.

Also, my advice would be to challenge your company to provide family visas.  How can they post someone abroad and separate them from the family?   if it was me, I wouldn't accept and would even walk away from the job if the family was that important to me.

Well in India I was tolf by my company that here they wil support me with the visa & accomodation. But since I have come here the things are looking a bit fishy regarding the visas. Hence I was looking for atleast 3 months visa so that as per my company rule I can spend 3 months serving here and then go back and resign. Because of course family comes first. Hope you understood the scenario now.

Hello, if my company somehow agrees to help me with dependent visa,will it require Attestation of Marriage certificate? As informed earlier. She does have my name in her passport.

Practically, LMRA document check does ask for the marriage certificate even if the name is in the passport.  It is better to get it done.   First by MOFA in home country, then Bahrain Embassy.

FYI :- RP Update

So when my company applied for conversion of my 2 weeks Business VISA to RP, our company's PRO replied :
"Transferring Bahrain visit visa to Bahrain RP is no longer accepted by the authorities.In order to obtain Bahrain RP the process should be done while the expat is out of Bahrain, we will need medical report in one of the approved medical centers by GCC in India."

Do that or wait a week and try again.  These things happen from time to time and sometimes, trying after a while meets with success, other times not.
