Dash cam

Hi everyone,

My family and I are moving to Bahrain and we were recommended to buy dash cams for our cars.

Do you agree with those recommendations? Do you have any dash cam to recommend? Any particular advise when buying one (e.g. heat resistant).

Let me tell you a little story...

A long time a go in a galaxy far far away (last Tuesday in Jakarta), a motorcycle hit a pothole in front of me and fell off. No serious injury but he claimed I hit him.
The small action cam I use as a dashcam shut his face and avoided the cops being called as it proved he was a liar. He buggered off.

Cheap action can that paid for itself quickly.

I also have a couple of youtube videos vids of other accidents - hits, hits, hits ... and proving there was no hit.
