Two CPR nos. generated. Is it usual? How to resolve. Urgent query.

Dear All,

Having seen quite encouraging and quick responses on the forum, I am looking for some help on behalf of my young brother in law who has recently moved to Bahrain.

I dont have all the details as the discussions happened a few minutes ago.

He has earlier been to Bahrain a few years back and got CPR no. for employment.
This is his second visit and this time too LMRA provided him another CPR number. Now after getting a job opportunity which he is scheduled to join next month, he has now found there are two CPR nos. in his name. Like I said, details are incomplete and I shall update on the same ASAP.

But is this something that can possibly happen/usual? And how does one resolve this. He has a friend/sponsor there and hopefully he should help out. Even his current employer is looking into the same. But some suggestions from the knowledgeable folks here may give me some insight.

Please advise.

Update: Turns out it was fault from the agents side. They didn't realize he already had a CPR. Problem should be resolved. Will keep you posted.
