Need Second Hand Furnituires

Hi,

I am looking for second hand furnitures and home appliances.
Where can I get them in Bahrain.
Which is better second hand or first hand?
If first hand which are the good and comparitively inexpensive shops?

Thanks and Regards

Lu Lu is good for electronics. Home Store in Bahrain Mall is excellent for furniture. Brand new is always best but if you don't have the budget for it then you have to buy 2nd hand.

There are loads of classified ads online - here, mums in Bahrain etc. Just try google

Other places to look are notice boards in clubs, hypermarkets and shops
Thanks for the reply!:-)
Waiting for more:-)
Hi all,

Lulu is quite expansive as far as electronics are concerned if I may say. Not because I'm working there but Geant is much more competitive. :D
There is a long avenue going from Kuwait Av. to Isa town with 11 or 12 furniture stores.
Down town Manama, around the catholic church I remember having seen a few second hand furniture store and there is another one on palace avenue also.

Don't forget to check the ads in the supermarkets dedicated to expats such as Waitrose or Al Osra. A lot of leaving expats are displaying pictures of the stuff they want to sell.

Hope this will help

Cheers

Olivier
Hi Oliver,

You mean to say Geant and the other shops you mentioned have good collections of electronic items and furnitures at better prices compared to Lulu?

Thanks and Regards,

I think that is exactly what he is saying. Although I do feel the bigger Lulu's have a larger, cheaper selection ( Sorry Oliver )
^^ No need to be sorry... All opinions are respectable.
And anyway, everyone can go and check by himself can't they ?

Cheers

Olivier

For electronics, I find Sharaf DG and Carrefour prices are reasonable, especially if there is a genuine sale on. Both these retailers are in Bahrain City Centre mall.

Everything (and I mean everything) that I have bought from Sharaf DG didn't work - I think they must be trying to tell me something.....

That is interesting. Didn't they come with a guarantee of some sort?
Only 7 days and mine broke after about 8 - Just my luck
That's interesting. Manufacturer's warranty is at least a year as far as I know. Did you go back and complain?
Yeah they said because I had used the product they couldn't do anything!! It was a vacuum and it went on fire when we used it the second time. They said they would send it for repair, we said we wanted our money back and no chance
