Visa overstay fine

A friend of mine has hit bad times and hasn’t renewed his visa for 10 months . He now is getting some money together to fly back to Uk but needs to know how much the fine will be . Can anyone help ?

This is from 7 years ago; it was 80BD every 2 weeks. so it could quite possibly be a lot more now?

Overstaying for 180 days to one year can lead to a 3-year entry ban, while over a year often results in a 10-year ban.

You must settle fines at the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) or at the airport before departure.

For a 10-month unauthorised stay, you may face detention and need to coordinate with your embassy.

So to give you an idea. This is what is being said on Reddit from people who have experienced it.

Thank you . He thinks it’s 125 bd every 2 months but that doesn’t correlate with 80BD every 2 weeks 7 years ago .

I think he’s going to use a middle man that can sort it out for a small fee . He’s not intending to go back ever so there’s no problem with a ban

He should do Recancellation then he can travel.Immigration fees only 15 bd below one year. Agdnts may charge 5 or 10 bd additionally for their service.
