Visit Visa application for son

Jdsoni

I am planning to apply for visit visa for my son from India. He was resident here and studied here earlier but now in India for college education. In document they generally ask for bank statement showing USD 1000 balance but he is student so that much balance is not there so its ok if I just give a guarantee letter that I will take care of all expenses? To be noted that I was in Bahrain earlier for 7 years and after 1 year break I have returned so just completed 1 month of my new work visa here. Does it matter? My son wants to come here for 2-3 weeks for winter break.

Unfortunately there needs to a bank statement under his name as per the required documents,usually in such cases people transfer money temporaryly to thier son/daughters account take a statement print (also there needs to be a bank stamp)  for this purpose. Also the gurantee letter along with your cpr output/rent agreement is a plus.

Yes to above.  You can only get around that via a sponsored visa i.e. one which is issued by a company.

@XTang

Sorry but your reply is not clear. Could you elaborate please.

logicalindian

You can apply for a sponsored visa through your company, which doesn’t have the same requirements as an online e-visa. Just talk to your PRO and agree that you’ll cover the charges.

(Note: The company has full discretion to decide whether to apply or not)

I had received my son's visa in very short time. I had applied  with my indian bank account statement and put covering letter. However I have applied for my mother's visit visa on 23rd November night but still not received. Have attached her own bank statement and she has been previously holding resident visa also. Do NPRA take more than 3 days for elderly family visit visas?

logicalindian

Cannot say, in some cases we have seen it take longer.

On 28th November I received mail to submit corrected and updated bank statement. I felt that due to bank statement from Cooperative bank in India and my mother name having suffix 'ben'(usually used in India especially in Gujarat) they misunderstood to be her to be different person so I submitted my mothers bank statement from SBI (deposited some amount and same day got statement) having matching name as per passport. In 6 hours then, NPRA rejected the application. Please share your views and advise to get her visa. What will be best option?

logicalindian

Hopefully the bank statement had stamp from the bank on each page.

Try visiting NPRA with her passport copy, earlier they used to allow visitors for enquiry, try your luck there, no other way out unfortunately. Other option as mentioned earlier is to apply for a sponsored visa through your employer.

Good luck

@logicalindian

It was a single page bank statement with stamp. I have applied through a travel agent now. He has applied for same 3 month multiple entry, 30 day stay visa. He told he will not use bank statement at all.

logicalindian

It's a sponsored visa, the company applying will be the guarantor.

Good luck!

@logicalindian

Just for your information. He told its applied online and I can see the application status as per application ID he gave; it shows their company email id besides other details of applicant. He told its done through their local/Arabic guy (may be owner i dont know). Applied visa is 3 month multiple entry with 30 days stay.Is it same way as you guessed?

logicalindian

That's why it's called a sponsored visa, there is a local sponsorer.
