Self Sponsorship Dependant (Family) Issues

RIK374

Hello Forum,

I am a Pakistani who has been in Bahrain for over 30 years. My husband has recently been approved for a 10-year self-sponsorship residence permit.

He has been getting SSRP for about 7 years now (2 year, followed by 5 year, now 10 years).

I was dependent on his self-sponsorship for the past 5 years. However, when I try to add myself this time, I'm facing an issue.

I've filled out the form on the evisa website (for self-sponsorship renewal for 2 years). However, it keeps getting rejected. When inquiring about self-sponsorship via email, with the case number, they only mention that it was rejected by security.

I would like to know if anyone has any experience with this? And where we can approach this 'security' to find out what exactly the issue is.

  1. A note: My Residence permit had expired in April, and I'm currently in a Grace period. Just to avoid any issues with Security.

Raise a complaint on Tawasul targeted towards NPRA.

Also, why didn't you renew the permit with him at the same time?

Thank you for that reply @xtang

I will go ahead and raise that.

We assumed the renewal would happen soon for my husband and attempted to renew his first and then do mine. But his got approved a couple of months after the expiry. After which I was already expired at the time for my renewal.

Oh ok.   How long did the process take for renewal for your husband, from start to end?
