Buying a pre-owned car in bahrain which is bought from Saudi Arabia

ababison

I found a used car with bahrain number plate to buy for me. The car owner bought it from Saudi Arabia and relocated to bahrain. Is there any issues if I.buy it? Does it really worth it? Will I face any problem in future related on registration renewal or inspection?

Hello ababison,

Welcome to Expat.com 😀

The first step is to confirm that the car has cleared all customs procedures upon entering Bahrain. Be sure to request the necessary documentation from the seller to verify this. Once confirmed, you can proceed with the remaining steps.

Hopefully, someone on the Bahrain forum can assist you further with this process.😉

Now the traffic details of the car belongs to bahrain. So does it require to keep all the documents regarding all customs documents for the next renewal?

Typically, cars with GCC specifications don't present issues; however, if the car is under warranty, you won't be able to claim it in Bahrain. Everything else is fairly standard—just ensure that an expert mechanic inspects it before you make the purchase.

Thank you. It's not under warranty .
