CPR renewal

cprthrowaway

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if somebody could help me out here with some clarification. I've recently come back to Bahrain after 6 years during which time my CPR had expired. I was born and brought up here, Left for college and came back after getting a job offer here. It was a dependent CPR linked to my Father, Now how would I go about renewal here? I've asked around and from what I've gathered I need to first convert my CPR from student to employed. What are the procedures to be followed here? Would a high school certificate from my school (in Bahrain) suffice?

The real reason I need this to be expedited is so that I can get my Driving License asap, but afaik there's no way to get DL without a CPR... right??

Once your employed your employer needs to take care of your CPR or you can do it online via Bahrain.bh, you will need EWA bill under your name as well. Search the forum for CPR and you will find many discussions. CPR is a must for all services.

Thanks for the reply, Looks like all I had to do was pay the CPR office in Isa Town a visit, I went straight to the fast track lounge and got the cpr renewed promptly! The only docs required were my passport and my photo. Much ado about nothing lol

On a side note, Good work on keeping the forum active. You guys help us clueless expats out more than you know! :)
