Can visa be rejected because of name ?

Recently I applied visa for my sister's family. While the visa for my niece and sister was approved the one for brother in law was rejected (don't know why).

Ultimately I got him applied an sponsored visa and that also approved.

Now, whether it was approved for name or anything else that I am not sure.

No one can say for sure, final authority to approve or reject is with NPRA.
