Visit visa and proof of onward travel

Joey Doyle (joeyd0891)

Hi all,

I have searched the forums but still need a little clarity.

I have been offered a job in Bahrain starting in August. The company have booked flight tickets for myself and my wife and we are to arrive on travel visas. I will convert to a work visa shortly after arriving and then my wife will apply for a dependent visa.

My question is: Do immigration see this as common practice or not? It says we both need to provide proof of a return ticket but I'd rather not have to buy a dummy ticket or have to be dishonest if questioned by immigration. So is this something we could just explain if asked about our travel plans?

Thanks in advance

Joe

Yes this is a common practice, https://www.lmra.gov.bh/en/faq/question … %20permit.

Thank you for your response.

Would you advise my wife to still purchase an onward ticket? She has to get her visa online before arriving, so I'm not sure if she would be asked for it at the time of booking or upon arrival?

Upon arrival, there is always a chance for this question to be asked.
