Hi everyone,

We are a family with 2 boys (2,5 and 6,5 years old). We are currently living in Belgium and are considering relocating to switzerland. Currently considering lausane.

We are both working in the pharma industry (he is scientist and I am working in supply chain)

We are native French speakers.

Our current concern is the cost of living in Switzerland and also the potential costs for the school & solution for our younger child as we both work full time.

Any advice is welcome

Thank you

Anaelle

Hi Anaelle, i just see your question today, don't know if you had any answer yet ?

Personnaly, I'm Liz and I have been living in Neuchâtel for over 15 months with my husband and our 3 children. We came from France, and as yourself, before moving here, we knew very little about what life in Switzerland was really like, beyond what you can find and read online.

In any case, I would be very happy to talk with you about life in Switzerland and the real cost of living with a family here, including schools, activities, and childcare options.

My children are still young, between 7 and 14 years old, so I have experienced all three school-related and extracurricular childcare options in Switzerland.

Feel free to reach out if you haven’t yet found answers to your questions — I would be glad to share my personal experience with you.
