What areas do you love? What should I avoid?

Hollyrae05

🌻 Hi everyone, I’m Holly!

I’m a mom from Florida, and my son and I are planning a big life change — we’re working toward moving to Spain, hopefully through one of the teaching programs (like the Auxiliar de Conversación).

I’m a longtime educator and a passionate advocate for special needs children. My son is autistic, and my biggest priority is finding a peaceful, supportive place where he can thrive and feel safe.

This move is deeply personal — it represents healing, faith, and finally building the life we’ve always dreamed of.

I’d love to connect with anyone who’s already made the move to Spain, especially families, teachers, or single moms. I’m just in the planning stages right now, but I’m eager to learn from your experiences. What areas do you love? What should I avoid? How is the education system for kids with special needs?

Feel free to message me — I’d really love to make some real connections and friends before we get there. 💛

Thank you for having me!

@Hollyrae05

Hi, were you able to connect with someone in Spain? I am also currently preparing to make that move to Spain with my kids. They are both high functioning autistic. I have their passports and now working on gathering the rest of the paperwork for the visas.

Thank you!
