Quakers in Spain

seamus452

Hello I will move to the Costa del Sol in the fall. I am from the United States, speak Spanish, retired, and 60 years old. I am also a Friend, as in a Quaker, though I currently do not belong to a Meeting.  I am wondering if there are any meetings in the Malaga-Torremolinos-Banalmadena-Fuengirola - Mijas area. It is unlikely, I know, but just wondering if there are any Quakers out there?I am from the unprogrammed version, that is, expectant quiet worhsip.

Hello!

I'm an unprogrammed Quaker just starting to look at the Costa del Sol. I'm 57 (not retired) and looking at this area for several reasons, including my partner's health. (She would do well in the climate and by the sea.)

I'm regaining my basic Spanish with plans to become something like fluent. Meanwhile, a bonus of silent worship is that most of the time, one need not know the local language ;-)

I'll keep following this thread to see what you find and how you're doing.

Peace,

P (in North Carolina)
