I would appreciate any advice or answers

Hi everyone!

My name is Rob and I am looking to move to Spain with my wife and 2 dogs as soon as I can. We are currently in Germany and are both EU citizens. I hope to get some answers to my many questions on this forum:)

1. I'd like to get a job as a truck driver and the jobs location will determine where we will live, though I would like to settle somewhere in the area of Castellon/valencia. If anyone has any recommendations of places where there is very little rainfall and relatively mild winters then I am open to suggestions

2. What is the political climate in Spain?  Is it far left like here in Germany or are they living in reality.

3. Does one pay a yearly dog tax?

4. Can I drive a big rig in spain on my german liscence and driver card? If not, how easy is it to change the liscence and drivers card?

5. I am learning Spanish but I speak English, Dutch and German fluently.

6. What is the approximate cost of living for 2 people with no kids in Spain and could we make it on just my trucking salary?

7. Are rental places picky about dogs? Is there a housing shortage in spain or are there many places available to rent and what is the average price for something with a garden or yard area? (Not apartment buildings)

I would appreciate any advice or answers that anyone could give me.
