IMMIGRATION PROCESS
Hello Sir, I want to know if I buy a house online here from India, will I get a TRC without going to India, and will my TRC be renewed online? This is because I do business in India, and my business is doing well. Therefore, I don't have time right now to go to any other country, but in the future, I want to settle in Serbia with my family.
Hello predeepkumar134,
Welcome to Expat.com 😀
Have you been to Serbia before?
If I understand correctly, you want to buy a house online, handle all the formalities remotely, and then move to Serbia when you are ready?
Cheers,
Cheryl

Hello,
It depends on whether there's a reciprocity agreement between Serbia and your home country. I suggest you contact professionals listed in the business directory to enquire : Real estate in Serbia

I've given them the links from the government website to look at, they explain everything they need to do.

You will need a power of attorney in order for someone to act on your behalf. I normally do that for my clients here.
Given that Serbia works on reciprocity agreements with other countries, in order for you to be authorised to buy property in Serbia, your country of origin MUST grant the same right to Serbian nationals. As far as I am aware, India does not allow Serbians to buy property outright.
In fact, Serbian citizens (foreign nationals of non-Indian origin residing outside India) generally cannot directly buy property in India without specific RBI (Reserve Bank of India) permission, which is rarely granted, except for inheriting property or for diplomatic reasons; they usually can only lease residential property for up to 5 years.
If you're still interested in buying property, another way of getting around the restrictions would be to register a company in Serbia (via a representative) and purchase it under that entity. You'll then be able to apply for a business owner permit after the completion of all notarial formalities. (https://zuniclaw.com/en/serbia-residenc … formation/).
I hope this helps...
