Bar or Cafe that allows customers to play piano...

Jedmason

Hello all.
I've just joined and, although I would love to move to Amsterdam to live and work, I have a question about a visit I am planning for with my best friend in 2019.
I would like to find a bar or café that allows its guests to play the piano.
I know it's a strange idea but I'm striving to make our short trip as good as possible for him.
I've been fortunate enough to have visited Amsterdam 15+ times so I've got the first 36 hours sorted but I really want to make it special and memorable for him.
I've done some research but can't find a place that might allow the piano thing which is part of the reason I joined here.
There's loads of time before our visit but any information or suggestions/signposting would be massively appreciated.
Thanks for reading.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.  There are piano bars in Amsterdam; whether they will let a stranger walk in from the street and play it is another matter.

This link will take you to a Google search I just created; I'd recommend that you check it out and then contact the bars and ask them.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jed,

The only thing I can think of is maybe an open podium in a bar, because I never heard about bars who let guests play. There are pianos in public places like train stations, so maybe that is an option?
