Work remotely in the NL for a US-based company while studying?

laoddysee

Hello everyone! I'm going to do my masters in NL next year, I'm a remote financial analyst for an US based company.

My job is allowing me to work remotely in NL while doing my masters. But... can I really do that? I'd be under a student-visa for the length of my stay, is there any working visa for remote/freelancers?

My company actually has a NL office that will probably hire me after my studies to work in NL. I know that as soon as I graduate I'll get a work visa for the office but Im concerned while being remote.

Anyone going through the same?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

As a student, the law only permits you to work (remotely or otherwise) for a maximum of 16 hours p/week.  I found what may be a useful website (link) for you to check out; be careful though, I have no idea who is behind this product.

Hope this helps.

Hi Laoddysee,

Im going to be in the same situation you were in. I was wondering if you did go the Netherlands and were able to work remotely?
