Working remotely from Amsterdam for a US company?

jbpinilla

Hi,

I am currently working remotely for a US company from Argentina. My wife and I are planning on moving to Amsterdam in the next few months.

As I have Italian citizenship and EU passport, we can legally work and live in the Netherlands but I have a few questions:

What are the legal requirements to work remote for a US (or any other non-EU country)  from the Netherlands? Do I have to set up some sort of legal entity?
What are the tax implications? What is the best way to handle this?
If we are not sure if we are going to stay, when is the best time to take care of the legal and tax topics?

Best!

I was told previously I could not. But that may be because am a US citizen, even though I was working towards a permanent residence. Hopefully you have better luck.
