How to retain residency after divorce with NL national

I have 2 kids, both minor (1 is 2 yrs and other 3 mnths). Married with NL national 3 years back and staying with her in NL past 2 years. Possible divorce expected. I am employed meeting the Highly skilled migration criteria. Hence, need to know possibilities of continued residence permit.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

If your current residence permit is based on your being the spouse of an entitled person (i.e. she sponsored you), then you do need to notify the IND. Based on what you've said, and assuming there is nothing else untoward that you haven't told us, then I can't see it being an issue. My advice is to contact your local IND office and let them know your change of circumstances; it is they who will decide whether you (or your employer) need to reapply.

It's really quite self-explanatory, but to put it into lots of words; from what you've said and assuming you haven't gotten yourself into any trouble with the Police or any other Government agencies while you have been in Holland and properly registered yourself and not evaded paying your taxes and Health Insurance charges, then the fact you've separated from your wife should not make any difference. If you have done these things, then it gets harder and you may need a lawyer to help you.
