Working with a permesso di soggiorno per attesa occupazione

arlee

Hey everyone,

I have a question that I can't seem to find the answers anywhere online.
I currently have a student permit but I graduated. I'm waiting for the renewal of my permesso but I'm in a predicament. I know that to convert the student permit to a work permit I need a contract that is longer than 6 months but for now I'm only able to get short term contracts, with the student permit it is not possible to work more than 20 hours a week which is not the best.
My question is, if I change the permit to the one in attesa di occupazione can I work if the contract is less than 6 months?
