Visa Approved But Can Not Be Issued

I applied for Germany Blue Card Visa in South Africa and after a few weeks, I got an email saying my visa has been approved but can not be issued due to the travel ban on South Africa, Has anyone experienced this or know how I can write for an exemption as I need to start a new job in Berlin ASAP.

Wishful thinking to expect an exemption. There are travel rules according to the Covid situation. Unless one is already a citizen or resident of the EU then one has no right to come here, it is a privilege. Eventually, rules will be relaxed once the situation improves but it is not good now in Germany. And expect to likely need to be fully vaccinated.
