Like Beppi wrote, ask the local authorities. But this sounds very suspect. Virtually nobody would go from studying to being an au pair. I won't go into details but its like someone asking if they can go from being a lawyer or doctor to working at McDonalds. Maybe you mean you have a visa for a language school and hope to then do an au pair position? A language school or vocational training visa is not a study visa

One on a real study visa for university can finish a degree in Germany and its standard that they can stay on and look for up to 18 months to find work in their field - and then stay indefinitely if they are working. An Au pair only gets some pocket money and is limited to a year's stay.
