In short, the fact that you have a residence card in Belgium would only be helpful (to avoid the visa process) if your belgium card is more than 5 years old and is labelled "Long-Term European Card" or "Bleu Card". If not, as a foreign citizen, you have to request a visa for France there in Belgium. Even with one of those cards, you must request a residence permit once in France (which paradoxically can be longer than going through the visa route, in practice).

In your case, as you are married to a French citizen, you can request a "spouse visa".

The spouse visa allows you to work in any profession, commercial activity or as an employee.

As regards your work, your work situation is different from your immigration situation, even if sometimes they can be connected. Your employer will have to pay social security for you in France and register as a foreign company operating in France (unless you are a "seconded employee" in which case the social security contributions could be exempted during a time), this has to be evaluated in detail.

You can rent an apartment with your Belgium permit; it is not a problem in theory as long as you meet the requirements. In practice, landlords prefer you to have your visa/residence permit in France. The same thing applies to your financial documents. If your payslip and other financial documents are good, depending on the region, you will be able to rent an apartment. However, in practice, you can encounter difficulties. Some services such as "garantme" or "visale" can be useful for foreigners;
