The new prices of tickets on Sofia's public transport networks have been announced ahead of Euro Day on January 1st. Amazingly, they're all going DOWN! Admittedly, not by much but it's certainly a good start...

As everything else does, prices go up.

Some of the prices of buses in our region are going down. The 3 BGN fare will become 1.50 EUR, for example, and the 8 BGN fare will be 4 EUR. I'm not sure yet what will happen with our 2.50 BGN village bus fare, which coverts to 1.28 EUR. My guess is that one might go up to 1.50 EUR.

Probably just round it up, even at €1.50, that's still pretty cheap. It will be interesting to see what price they do come up with. I can see some interesting topics coming in the new year, comparing prices of services.
