Leaving my uk register vehicle in Bulgaria

Jano2020

I have taken my uk reg vehicle from turkey and Bulgaria, I need to leave it in Bulgaria for 6 months and take it back to turkey and register it but it’s been 3 months. Would I receive any fines or penalties when I’m taking back to turkey, how long can I leave my vehicle in Bulgaria for.

I doubt anybody is keeping track of a UK-registered vehicle, so my guess is that you could store it (not drive it) in Bulgaria as long as you like. However, it might be that during its time in Bulgaria its UK MOT (and hence UK insurance and UK road tax) expires. In this case, your vehicle would not be road-legal, and it might be sensible to trailer it to Turkey rather than drive it. If your MOT/insurance/tax is still current then your vehicle is legal, and the only thing you need is your Bulgarian vignette.
