Is Vinograd safe as a second home?

PORCO_BRAVO

Hi all... is anyone here already living in Vinograd that could talk with me about it?

I'm looking to buy a couple of houses there for a very cheap price to rebuild and refurbish.

many thanks

Is this Vinograd near VT? Hopefully someone here knows the village, but you may get a quicker response on the Facebook groups for the area.

Building material costs have risen a lot, so renovating village properties is nowhere near as cheap as it used to be. I don't claim to be any expert at all, but except for in the absolute best villages that get a lot of tourists, I'm not sure there's any profit in doing up village properties to sell on or for rentals.

A house for living in, yes, one can still end up with a good home at a lower price in Bulgaria than almost anywhere else in Europe.
