Foreign Driving License Exchange - Technical issue

Hello,

So I checked with my commune regarding the foreign driving license exchange option. Technically I can exchange the license but the license model which is shown on Belgium government's website is old and they are saying now that I cannot exchange it because my driving license has new design. When I tried to tell them that the model mentioned on there website is old and now there is new design or model issued; they have no clue on how to update this.

Has anyone faced a similar situation and what should I do in this case? I really don't want to go through all the driving school program.

Ask them to send it for verification to your home country (they usually do this)'s department.

@Aneesh I did requested them to send it for verification but instead they have given me their email address and told me to inquire myself (which I have) but no response received yet.
