Hlo sir/mam i am from India and my husband is from Belgium. My appointment is on 23rd August in vfs global. They have asked me for invitation letter but I am not getting letter d visa from Belgium. Sir, tell me what to do.

Hello,

well if you're doing a family reunion, your spouse/significant in Belgium should write a letter, have his/her signature legalize by the commune and send you the letter.

He/she should explain the history relationship, etc...

Now if you want to come in Belgium for work, well, obviously you don't need that...

So which visa D are we talking about?

Invitation letter is necessary to submit spouse visa???

I need your help concerning getting married in a non EU country. I’m from Africa and my fiancé is a Belgian, we’ve checked all the documents required to get married in my country. We’ve translated the documents to English but we don’t know if we need to legalise the documents before we can use it in Africa or just submit the translated copies. Thank you

@Krinchal9 baaaaahhhhh, your husband write a letter like: Hereby Mister xxx, living at address yyyy, would like to invite my wife zzzz, with passport number XXXXX to join me in Belgium.

And he write few chapters like: current situation (stable job, renting, salary), history of relationship (when did you meet, when did you get marry, did you already live together in your home country, blablabla), remarks & additional useful information, listing of documents he's adding to your visa request, .......... up to him how to normalize that...

+ he add all his documents (work contract, payslip, tax return, ...)

@Ade Mary of course, any official documents with a legal stamp or signature of an official must be legalized by Belgium then by your country to be usable there. (you'll probably need to go to your foreigner ministry to legalize the Belgian's documents, before you can use it in your town hall)
