The biggest benefit of application for the unlimited single permit compared to the normal one is that there are less required documents that you have to submit.

I’m changing my contract at the beginning of next year so i include the new contract also in the application. Better to submit more than required, you never know.

For the unlimited one you have to apply by yourself, and not by your employer. I have not heard anything back from ifz so im also curious how long this process takes compared to the normal one.

Hello, My application was submitted on 8th August. Till now, i haven't heard any response from the Govt. I am really worried. I asked my employer to check for the update but they said that only consulting firm can do that -  and the consulting firm would charge for money to keep in touch with the Govt. So, should I contact with the officer by myself - giving details of  my name,  passport, visa ... to ask them about the updates?. And if it is possible, may it negative affect to my application due to "bothering" them....

Normally they are giving the WP in 2 months time. Wait till 3 Oct. and call then.

You need to wait for 8 weeks since the application filed .So wait till 3rd October and by then you should receive some update from authority.  Better you do not contact directly with authority.

Anyone for new application whose WP aproved  in 1st week of August got SP.

Ya. I told them to so. This process is a crazy brother. 4 months to get a WP is not sustainable.

Bud! I suggest not to get into administrative things of gov. Let your perspective employer contact hem and get the updates.

If the WP is approved and I have the RP still valid for a month, Can I continue working ?

SP status is still unknown, WP was approved on 12/09.

Currently I work in expat contract and switching to Belgian employer (SP is under process). My wife is already working with her dependent SP.

Will there be any impact for my wife's dependent WP because of the change of employer by me (from expat contract to Belgian employer) ?

Plus, my understanding is yes you can apply after 4 yrs  and it means 4 years of uninterrupted work (meaning WP).

WP was approved on 3rd Sept (Admissibility date don't know). Some people whose were applied in July had started getting Single Permit in last week (saw posts on this forum) , so I was curious.

During my waiting period, I and my employer, we'd try to mail the Foreign's office on singlepermit@ibz.fgov.be. We never received any response from them. So, if any of you are planning to write to them, have lesser expectations of them getting back to you with the status.

For my single permit application, I never got any of the documents apostiled.

WP is send to employer by post which takes 14 days time ,
So , 4th September is your WP approval officially ,
19th September is when employer received the hard copy.
For you ,its 4th September .
