Tanvirul Hoque

Hello, I'm a non-EU working here and just wondering if we can claim an income tax reduction for my parents who are living overseas. Does anyone have this experience?

Tax benefit for parents outside of Belgium is described at https://www.belgium.be/en/family/social … in_belgium . I too am interested in potential tax benefits for supporting elderly parents in Australia.

There is a coming2belgium link that supposedly considers your eligibility for certain benefits. I didn't get any sensible answers from the coming2belgium tool.

Support for the elderly seems dependent on a dual agreement between Belgium and your home country. I suspect you'll need to get the advice of a tax agent who is competent with Belgian tax and tax laws in your home country.
