Unauthorized occupants in property

Dr Rima

Hi, I have lived in Panama (and other countries as well) and have property in Panama. I am thinking about relocating from the US.

I am a retired physician who uses non drugs, only natural and advanced treatment strategies and I am fiercely anti-globalist.

I need some help: there are people living in my property in Volcan, Chiriqui, and I wonder what the best way to get them out might be? I did not rent or sell my property to them but I am quite confident that someone else has done so.

I have written to them (the operate a tour company from my address) but they have chosen not to answer.

Thoughts? suggestions? referrals or recommendations?

Thanks!

@Dr Rima

I believe that you are the wife of the late Major General Albert Stubblebine.  I met you and your husband in Volcan around 2009.

The short answer is you'll have to go through the courts to have them evicted. A few years ago I was asked by the sister of a family member of I knew where you were and I told her no.

The story I was told is that he was asked to care for the property and he hadn't been paid in over a decade but I also recall something about her saying that he was allowed to live there for free for taking care of the property.

I have her contact information somewhere and I'm sorry I can't be more specific because the most recent conversation I had about it was 4 years ago.

If you send me a message I will give you her contact information (she only speaks Spanish).

But no matter you'll have to get an attorney at some point to evict the person and settle anything in regards to the care of the property over the years.

PS: Sorry for your loss.
