Buying property in Hacienda La Uva near San Carlos

Hi,

Looking at possibly relocating to Panama soon. Made an exploratory trip last year and was generally positively impressed. I'd agree that the comments about the roads and signage (or lack thereof) are pretty accurate, but found a lot more to like about the country.

I'm looking at buying in a development called Hacienda La Uva in the highlands near San Carlos. Does anyone have any experience with this area? I'm not crazy about living with an HOA but this property seems to punch a lot of my requirements. I'd welcome comments, good, bad, or indifferent, about this location and this development in particular by anyone familiar with them.
