Tips for getting your first job in Cuba

Hello All..
To have paid employment is a complicated process. If you are brought to the country by a foreign company or diplomatic mission, it is an altogether different story.
Immigration and visas are very strictly controlled. Wages for cubans are usually paid in cuban pesos whereas foreigners are expected to pay tourist dollars (hope we see an end to that).
Much easier to arrange voluntary work and there are no official agencies but personal contacts. People tend to forget that NGOs which are common in other developing countries: such as in Health Education Public Health are irrelevant in Cuba as Cuban have an exceedingly good system of their own.
If you are not expecting any remuneration, it might be possible to live in cuba for short periods of time.
The equation changes if a foreigner is married to a Cuban, in which case invariably the Cuban would want to emigrate!
