Off Topic Posts - Whats on your mind?

The most terrifying force of death comes from the hands of Men who simply wanted to be left alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love.

They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over.

The moment the Men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of murder/suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be. This is why, when forced to take up violence, these Men who wanted to be left alone fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives.

They will fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror. TRUE TERROR will arrive at these people’s door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy… but it will fall upon the deaf ears of the Men who just wanted to be left alone.

5 DEADLY TERMS USED BY A WOMAN

1. FINE
This is the word woman use to end an argument when she knows she is right and you need to shut up.

2. NOTHING
Means "Something" and you need to be worried.

3. GO AHEAD
This is a dare, not permission, don't do it.

4. WHATEVER
A woman's way of saying SCREW you.

5. IT'S OK
She is thinking long and hard on how and when you will pay for your mistake.

Roses are red, nuts are brown,
Skirts go up, pants go down,
Body to body, skin to skin,
When its stiff, stick it in,

It goes in dry and comes out wet,
The longer it's in, the stronger it's gets,
It comes out dripping and it start to sag.

It's not what you think, it's a  LIPTON tea bag.
Get your mind out of the gutter....

Not completely sure but take a read, great book.
Mac.
Using a few salvaged cables of the wrong type, but not so wrong as to be a fire hazard, I set up the panel, controller, sealed gel battery, and inverter.
I plugged a lamp in as gingerly in action as my sister's hair is in colour.

What was that in Genesis (not the "in the air tonight" sort)? Let there be light and there was light.
Not in Genesis is, "Let there be wind and there was because the fan worked as well".

I must pop to the shop and get the stuff to do it properly.
Fred,
Wonderful, marvelous. Looking forward to doing these things after we build our home. I must play a little coy, as Expat unfortunately exposed forces us to deal with contractor at inflated prices, and/or work w architect
locally. This I can do without hesitancy. I've a Viet friend who will help)
So after  heal from surgery it's back to home town.

The best book by Solzhenitsyn is called 'One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich' It is a short book of one of his days in a Gulag camp. Marvellous read.

Quite a number of years ago, while performing a seminar of Industrial Safety, I received a question from a participant. He was originally from Louisiana, USA:

With a wonderful lullaby accent he said: "Mac it's just common sense."   So I paused for a few moments, listened to his reasoning.
As I ponder today, I wonder of this ponder again.
Anyone take a stab at this, then I'll give up my own definition

Yep,
True account from yesterday;

Drinking and smoking a few last night on the back patio here in Phu Quoc, my friend visiting from Canada and I witnessed a rather bright shooting star.
Eventually, no doubt partly due to our altered state, the topic drifted on to that of UFOs.
I took the position that there is absolutely no evidence that any of the sightings of these things supported the ET hypothesis.
"Besides", I said, "Why would an advanced civilization come all the way here, just to play hide-and-seek and mess with us like that?"
His answer was priceless.
"I dunno," he said. "Maybe because they're just a$$holes?"

:)
Well, not all of them.

I'm intrigued.
Do tell.
OK, well here goes. ... but......

Have you ever flown a small plane on full moon lit night, climbed as high as you could go, cut power then drifted down to the valley below?

Did you ever lay on a mountain top, gazing upward on a moonless night, finally after many moments, seeing the curvature of the sky above and wondered how far does it go?

Have you ever wondered about man's concept of a G-d head? ...and our attempts to explain that which seems unexplainable?

Have you ever had a near death experience of which left you baffled, but so grateful to come out the other side intact?

How do you explain the unexplainable?

Remaining in awe is all that is required.

MAc

PS: Should you be willing to share what you are drinking and smoking, I'll be most happy to share w you more.
I think you missed his point 1f601.svg he was talking about "aliens" - Independence day, war of the Worlds, E.T. type stuff.

I think maybe they have been but thousands of years ago when we didnt have HD camera and video or just not at this time frame where we do have.

It takes 12+ hrs just to get from one side of the globe to the other, visiting from another star would take a while so maybe its just our timeline not matching up with theirs if they did/have?

Good topic though

It seems to me that most Vietnamese are rather practical about their Buddhism.   I doubt that even the most serious practitioners would object to throwing out a stagnant bucket of water because it might have larvae in it.  For the adults, burning coils should be OK too as I think they are mostly repellant.  If you are concerned about your Karma and don't want to reincarnate as a mosquito, you might want to avoid using one of those electric tennis racquets, as they clearly depend on  an intent to kill.  1f47d.svg
