Anyone here has used Craigslist for this service? Any luck?

It's about the only thing out there with current updated info on availability...Most other ones are full of old info.

Particularly looking to stay in downtown Seoul (Phu My Hung).

Thanks in advance for any intel....

Hello Danny.

Have you tried the housing section? It might help.

Thanks.

Most effective way to rent a place is to cruise around the area and look at electrical/telephone poles for ads.  But if you're not in-country yet, you can try any "homes for sale" advertisements.  You can contact the person and ask if they're willing to lease or rent to you.  Many will gladly rent out their property to get some income because the housing market is at a standstill.  No one is buying and the banks aren't lending.

Phú Mỹ Hưng is a newly developed area so there are a ton of housing projects that have gone up and are sitting vacant.  You shouldn't have a problem.

Thanks THD for the informative post.

I cruised around Phú Mỹ Hưng last week but didn't look at any poles (didn't know)...I will try to do that on the next visit in a couple weeks to see if I could round up something decent.
