On a 50cc? Vung Tau and up the coast a way may be doable but any road with a hill your going to be passed by cyclists, it wont be fun, you would be better off getting a sleeper bus and hiring when you get there, and keep doing that up the country, inland to Da Lat would be interesting to see if you made it or not.

With no licence and no way of registering a bike to get the plate your in no mans land, where you can buy a 50cc or e-bike but both would only be any good to explore HCMC and its surrounds.

Have a chat with the guy in the first link i sent you to ask what people do that hire from him and what the options are.

Spending 18mill on something you dont have a licence for or cant register and will void your medical insurance if you have an accident as the driver is not a great move IMO

BUT many tourist ignore the rules and have the funds if they need a careflight back home so like everything in life you pays your money and you picks your choice.

Good advices, thanks man.

So it's OK now to refer to these kinds of referrals in the forum now?

After I was roundly criticized by many (including you, I think) for making similar connections with business people here, I have totally backed away from even the appearance of promoting any person/service.

If it's OK now, I'll be happy to let people know I can recommend agents, drivers, etc if they send me a request.

If you are staying at a hotel/motel and you intend to return there, they will usually store it for free while you are on your trip.

Members have always been allowed to send private messages seeing that links are not allowed.

Or recommend businesses they don't have a personal connection with.

I.E. "In addition, based on multiple recommendations I've read here in the forum, search for "Rose Dental" on Google Maps" or "1888 Cigar OR Rolling Stoned might have what you seek"

It was not a personal recommendation to MY bike dealer or MY bike agent plus it was for advice on how he could do his road trip.

I've never bought a bike or Hired anything from the ex-pat owned hire places I sent him, seeing I bought all three bikes I've purchased from Main dealers

then based upon what you have written, Andy owes me an apology for his previous personal attacks against me, because that's exactly what I have done in the past.

You mean the one you cook for and have dinner with? or a random business that you have never used?

Bizzare comment.

Find anything written anywhere where I claim to have cooked for my visa agent.

But reading what Admin has just written, the fact that I've done business with someone I RECOMMEND doesn't enter into the equation.

IF I were "advertising" then I'd be wrong.

But my point (which you refuse to acknowledge) is that you are doing EXACTLY what I was doing.

In actuality, I highly doubt you are advertising or profiting from sharing the information, just as I have never been doing either of those things when mentioning that I know a trustworthy agent.

My point is, by making that comment in public instead of by continuing your private message, you've done the very same thing I did.

If you aren't wrong, I wasn't wrong.

And if I wasn't wrong, you owe me an apology

Agreed, especially so if you suggest that upon your return that you'll be staying there again. I've done this on several occasions.

My sincere apologies, I was wrong : you didnt cook.

🤣

That's my attorney (I met through one of THIGV's posts) not my visa agent.

Sincere apologies always appreciated
