Mobile phone plans in Thailand

After seeing some ridiculous prices, especially at the airport, I went directly to a DTAC  store.  $58.00 for an entire year w/data

for 60 days in Thailand what is the better plan for local phone call and internet ?

A few years ago I used AIS but it was only for 15 days.

check after landed at airport and tell hem you want 15/30 days that can be extended to 60.

add data plan from providers website.....

yes although ive not been to thailand for a couple years now i did find dtac the cheapest. Airport dtac did not offer any good deals. all airport phone carriers will rip u off. I paid 500 bth (about $20 aud) per month for unlimited data and local calls, international  calls was extra but very cheap. (If i remember correctly 1bth per min for international calls) just pay extra when paying if u want international calls... You do have to go to a local dtac shop to get this. but be very patient as i did find English was a problem in the local shops. look for the brochures and look at the pricing and use that to communicate. Being polite with get you a long way in thailand.. cranky and arrogance will get you nothing but higher prices.

I had no issues with data or phone service. youll find Dtac retail shops in most shopping centers. i lived in Saphan Kwai and used the dtac shop in the big C shopping center, but if i remember correctly they were in Terminal 21 and Siam Paragon shopping centers on Sukhumvit Rd. big C  shopping center are everywhere alike to woolworths in Australia. is somewhere you should have a look at... they have almost anything your heart desirers including alcohol. a good place for food and clothes. Terminal 21 has a really good food court. "Pet"mean hot(spicy or chilli)... Mai pet mean not hot.

I pay 2.400 per year to dtac for the same thing

15 mbps.... More than enough to stream anything with hotspot

Wife has true, same deal but only 60 minutes for calling.

With all communication apps nowadays more then enough.. @ 1.740 thb year
