I assume you are aware of the lower (50%) requirements for spousal visas??

Having said that, apart from the spouse being present, unless you still live together, you still need a copy of the house owners bleu book as well as ID

If you live in your own condo, just bring the bluebook

Proof of funds of 800K or prove of retirement income at 65 K, all at least 3 months, form your home country. Not sure if these requirements are spot-on in timing

You definitely need a filled in and signed TM86 and when possible a TM30 when you live at a new address (you might want to change that online as well)

But best is just to go to immi office and ask for procedure and list of documents

It is an easy process, but you need to have all documents in order that is all

I changed from work, to retirement, from retirement to spouse overtime, never had an issue.....

I Change from spouse to retirement a few years back.

Change the reason (s) for Extension, From Married to retirement.

As we still married and live at same adresse, Nothing else for me.

Same proof of social pension (not same as income letter) from my Embassy.

Copy of Yellow book. For my adresse

Copy of Pink Id Card. Have giving a copy of it, Since years back they ask if i not have one after so many years in Thailand.

Copy of my passport, I all ways do every page, As it is random from year to year if they want every page or not.

Hand drawn map, I have scan it in and print it out every year, That okay at my office.

My Immigration Office want map from both Married & Retirement Extension.

And it is random if they want copy of my bank book, But i never bring copy of it, As they do the copy them self if they want that.

So..... just so I get this clear in my ageing head, I came to Thailand a month or so ago on an non-immigrant o-type visa originally based on marriage to a Thai national.

My intention is to apply for a 12 month extension based on retirement. When I applied for the original visa I was not yet retired, now I am.

If I wish to extend on grounds of retirement, do I have to change my original visa? Is an o-type an o-type,, extendable for any of the valid reasons, or is it specific to marriage and therefore only extendable for reasons of marriage?

You are good on the Non O you have either marriage or retirement, it will just be classified differently when you extend (start your first new 12 months visa is called extension)

Once again, retirement has higher financial but easier additional requirements
